Proposals for Tutorials to be held in conjunction with ECCV 2012 are solicited that address clearly focused topics that are pertinent to the main conference. They should address a specific topic in computer vision and provide a comprehensive overview of the topic, focusing on education rather than being just a survey of techniques.
Details on how to prepare and submit a tutorial proposal are available at the page Tutorial proposals submission guidelines. A typical Tutorial duration is one day. Half-day tutorials are also admitted. The Tutorial date for ECCV 2012 is October 7th, 2012. The Tutorial outlines (1 page) will be published together with the proceedings of the main conference.
In addition to comprehensive presentations of specific research areas, we encourage teaching methods promoting effective grasping of fundamental concepts in emerging techniques, e.g., through well-prepared practicals and group work. We are happy to discuss your suggestions before the deadline.
